This visa allows Doctors, dentists, nurses, obstetricians, and paramedics from non-EU countries who want to live and work in Poland. Poland has made it easier for healthcare workers to settle in the country

- Be legally capable (you’ll need to provide a hand-signed statement).
- Show you’re in good health (you’ll need a certificate from an authorized doctor).
- Demonstrate impeccable ethical conduct (another hand-signed statement is needed).
If eligible, apply for consent from the Minister of Health to practice as a doctor or dentist in Poland. You must also obtain approval from a regional medical authority for conditional practice rights.
Work in Poland
To work in Poland, you need approval from the Minister of Health. Once granted, your practice rights will be limited unless you apply for additional permission to provide telehealth services or work at clinics not designated as COVID-19 hospitals. You will also work under the supervision of an experienced doctor. The conditional right to practice is valid for five years and cannot be extended or renewed under the same conditions. After five years, you must meet additional requirements, such as diploma validation or passing the Medical Verification Examination, completing an internship, and passing the Final Medical Examination.
Eligibility Requirements for Doctors and Dentists
Doctors and dentists must meet the following conditions to apply for consent to practice in Poland:
- Hold a diploma confirming at least five years of study or a specialist title.
- Demonstrate full legal capacity.
- Provide proof of good health and ethical conduct.
Conditional Practice Rights for Doctors and Dentists
Once approved, doctors and dentists with conditional practice rights must work under supervision for the first three months. They can only work in medical facilities treating COVID-19 patients unless they receive additional consent from the Minister of Health. The conditional license is valid for five years and cannot be extended or renewed after this period.
After five years, doctors and dentists must meet other requirements, including diploma recognition or completing postgraduate training and passing the Final Medical Examination.
Additional Conditions for Doctors and Dentists with Non-EU Qualifications

- Have at least three years of professional experience in the last five years.
- Provide evidence of completed specialization training equivalent to Polish standards.
Conditional Permission for Nurses and Obstetricians
Nurses and obstetricians can apply for conditional permission to practice in Poland, especially during an epidemic. They can only work in healthcare facilities treating COVID-19 patients unless additional consent is granted. Nurses and obstetricians must work under the supervision of another qualified professional. Conditional permission is valid for five years and cannot be renewed after this period.
After five years, nurses and obstetricians must have their diplomas recognized or complete a bachelor’s degree in nursing or obstetrics to continue practicing.

After five years, paramedics must follow the provisions of the State Medical Rescue Act to continue practicing.
