USCIS Changes to Form I-131 for Travel, Parole, and Visa Applications

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is making updates to Form I-131, which is used to apply for essential immigration documents such as travel permits, parole, and arrival/departure records. What’s New with Form I-131?

  • Updated Name: The form will now be called “Application for Travel Documents, Parole Documents, and Arrival/Departure Records.”
  • New Edition Date: The updated form will have a new edition date of 06/17/24 (replacing the 04/01/24 edition).
  • No Grace Period: Starting on October 11, 2024, you must use the new form. Applications submitted with the old version will be rejected if received after this date.
