Requirements for Visa Applications to Trinidad and Tobago

All applicants are required to submit their visa applications in person to the office. The following documents and fees are necessary for different types of visits, including business, vacation, or visit purposes.

Business/Vacation/Visit Visa Requirements:

  • Two completed visa application forms signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent colored passport-size photographs with full face visible and no dark glasses.
  • Passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay in Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Pay a Non-refundable visa fee, payable in cash or via bank transfer. – check the latest fee on the Trinidad and Tobago Embassy in your country.
  • Current financial statement covering the last three months before the application date.

For Visitation

For visits exceeding ninety (90) days, a refundable SECURITY BOND DEPOSIT of Naira One Million Seven Hundred and Thirty Thousand (N1,730,000.00 per applicant) payable to Access Bank PLC Drafts, payable to ‘Trinidad and Tobago High Commission.’ An official receipt will be provided upon payment, and the bond is refundable upon departure from Trinidad and Tobago, submission of the original receipt to the mission, and only the applicant (payer on the receipt) can request and collect the refund.

  • A formal letter of invitation from the host in Trinidad and Tobago or a confirmed hotel reservation, including documents indicating the host’s immigration status if not a national of Trinidad and Tobago. The invitation letter should also include the name, address, and contact details of the inviting person.
  • Completed travel/flight itinerary.
  • Original medical qualifications and registration certificate for medical practitioners, with certified copies accepted.
  • Introduction letter from the applicant’s employer valid three (3) months before the application date.
  • Valid monthly pay slips for the last three months.
  • Proof of business such as a registration document from the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria.
  • For business travelers, a letter from the applicant’s company detailing the purpose and duration of the visit, as well as contact details of the company/organization in Trinidad and Tobago. Traveling salesmen without established agents in Trinidad and Tobago require a license if entering to receive or solicit orders.
  • Two copies of all required documents must be submitted along with the originals.

Visa Application Guidelines for Study Purposes in Trinidad and Tobago

All applicants intending to study in Trinidad and Tobago are required to submit their applications in person at least six weeks before their intended departure date. The following documents and fees are necessary for the visa application process.

Study Visa Application Requirements:

  • Two completed visa application forms signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent colored passport-size photographs showing a full face without dark glasses.
  • Passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay in Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Non-refundable visa fee of Naira Twelve Thousand (N12,000.00).
  • Current financial statement from parent/sponsor(s) for the last three months before the application date.
  • Original copy of West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Senior School Certificate, GCE certificate, or university degree, whichever is applicable.
  • Letter of acceptance from the educational institution in Trinidad and Tobago.
  • For students intending to study at the University of Southern Caribbean, a letter from the Ministry of Education of Nigeria stating that the degree to be pursued is not available in Nigeria is required.
  • Evidence of payment of tuition fees.
  • Payment of refundable SECURITY BOND DEPOSIT in the sum of Naira One Million, Seven Hundred and Thirty Thousand (N1,730,000.00 per applicant). This bond is refundable upon the visitor’s departure from Trinidad and Tobago and return to Nigeria.
  • Proof of sufficient funds to maintain oneself during the period of study.
  • Completed travel/flight itinerary.
  • Two copies of all required documents must be submitted along with the originals.
  • Visa application forms can be obtained online at www.ttmissionsnigeria.com or www.immigration.gov.tt, and forms must be printed on both sides of the page.
  • Access Bank Plc Drafts payable to ‘Trinidad and Tobago High Commission’ are accepted.

Note: Applications must be submitted six weeks before the departure date.
